1.Get a couple of your buddies together...the one's you can actually count on
Golfing with a few buddies is guaranteed fun and an acceptable way for you to hang out for hours at a time.
The optimal number for this group would be four! Flights, hotel rooms and travel works out logistically as well as your tee time bookings...with most golf courses.
2. Choose a Golf Course and/or Destination!
Check your wallet and brand account to decide what type of golf outing this will be. ARE WE LOOKING TO MAKE A FEW MEMORIES WITH THE BOYS AT A RESORT, or are we trying to stay connected and reasonably network at your local municipal. It's really a WIN - WIN either way!
Pick about three courses that you'd like to visit and present them to the group. From that point, decide which course makes the most sense and begin planning!
3. Reserved the day on your calendar with FULL Pto, Leave or Vacation day.
Don't wait for the last minute to take off this day or to reserve your day off. It will come sooner rather than later and you don't want to be "that person" that drops off last minute.
Send out calendar invites to the group and begin to add all details in a separate group text message.
4. Book the Tee - Time
Log onto the golf course website, app or call to book the tee time. Make sure to do this early as many of the best tee-times will go quickly! Split the costs up afterwards and send the group a zelle notification.
5. Make sure you have all of you golf equipment
Gather up the clubs, bag, balls, tee's, your #goldgofling golf club brush, towels, #goldgolfing stainless steel water bottle, shoes, slides, cooler, range finder and the putter laser pointer.
6. Book flights or reserve travel accommodations
If you are flying out of town, book the flights early! You will get the best price and everyone will arrive at the same to make things as easiest as possible.
If you are all meeting up at the golf course, pick the time that you will be at the clubhouse! Build in your breakfast and coffee time. Don't be "that" guy or girl who arrives late.
7. Don't go the cheap route.
We are booking a golfing outing here, so whatever the budget, build in some meals so everyone can eat. If possible, you will want to have separate rooms. Hanging out with the crew will be a blast and even better if you can come back to some peace and quiet.
8. Create somewhat of an itinerary for the trip
If you are planning a one day trip, it would be beneficial to create an itinerary for the group. You could include, an early morning breakfast or coffee run and a lunch after the match or scramble.
For longer trips, be sure to select and book dinner reservations so that you will have one less thing to worry about. Most of the time lunch can be quick but, it wouldn't hurt to have the restaurant in mind already.
9. Double check the rules of the course
Before you bring that bluetooth speaker and cooler full of truly's, read the rules of the course to make sure you don't violate rules. It always best to be respectful on the course so make sure to know what is allowed beforehand.
10. Have a great tee-time
Now that everything was all planned out, you have have a great trip or day with your buddies! Now all you need to do is, Grip it and Rip it!!
